Eco Christmas Gift Guide
Gift giving is quite possibly my favourite part of Christmas, like most people, it’s just a gorgeous feeling seeing someone really delighted with something you’ve put so much thought in to. However, as someone who really tries to be eco-friendly in as many ways as possible, I’m all too aware of how much waste and unnecessary items are created for this time of year. I wanted to create a guide of tried and trusted brands that I adore, for an eco-conscious loved one or to be honest they all also work as a regular gift, I’ve catered for all!
The Recycled Candle Company
Not only do I adore these incredible festive candles, I adore the ethos behind this company. The candles you see here have been created from melted down old candle wax and given a new lease of life as these gorgeous festive trees. I have several Recycled Candle Company candles all around my house and not only are they beautiful, they smell divine. My favourite candle brand by far and I think make the most special gifts, whilst supporting an such a wonderful company who are doing their bit to ensure candles can have a second third or fourth life!

Ocean Bottle
Not only am I huge fan of Ocean Bottle, my little Mum is also a huge fan! They keep cold drinks cold, and hot drinks hot - no leaks, so comfy to carry and it even has a built in cup as part of the lid! Ocean Bottle are a brilliant brand to support, they have collected over 2 million kgs of ocean bound plastic and with every purchase, you fund 1000 plastic bottles being collected before heading into our waterways. They also work with local communities around the world to help not only collect plastic but also provide income to those who are part of the initiative. I am never too far from my bottle, it’s become a part of my purse-phone-keys list before leaving the house! I’m very jealous of my mum’s gorgeous engraved bottle, which is something that they have just launched and I think would make the most thoughtful gift!

Organic Basics
Oh I just love Organic Basics, a sustainable clothing brand that not only create incredible clothing, underwear and active wear, they are also one of the most transparent and ethical brands you’ll come across. The set included in these photos I wear at least twice a week if not more and the quality is just incredible. Their iconic triangle bra is the best bra I own, I really can’t believe I ever bothered with an underwired bra! I for one as an eco-conscious gal would be thrilled to receive an Organic Basics item, I often put something from them on my Christmas list. I would also like to add that the mens range is equally as good as the womens, their recycled wool jumpers for men are gorgeous!

Big Wild Thought
Big Wild Thought are a clothing and accessories brand with a message behind the designs, based in the UK, Big Wild Thought donate 10% of every sale to relevant charities. There couldn’t be a more ‘me’ brand out there - the clothing is such good quality. I honestly screamed when this beautiful Burgundy number arrived - an ocean themed Christmas jumper?! ount me in. I really love how you can literally pick your favourite animal, get an item with the animal embroidered on whilst supporting a charity that supports said animal, it’s just perfect! I don’t know anyone who wouldn't love Big Wild Thought piece, whether it’s a Christmas jumper with a purpose, or an animal lover in your life, you’d be hard pressed not to find something perfect!

ZERO by Skin Academy
There are many accolades to give ZERO skincare, so I’m just going to list them - UK based, plant based, vegan, sustainably sourced, and recyclable packaging - impressive right? I can also add to that list, the products are absolutely gorgeous. I am very particular with skincare, I won’t even try some brands out of concern for causing any damage to my skin. ZERO was created by a woman who suffered with sensitive skin and eczema throughout her teenage years, which I feel is really reflected in the products. A really gentle range that actually works, I’m really sad to have nearly used everything up because it’s just slotted so nicely into my routine. It’s a joy to be able to share eco-friendly skincare that works, perfect for your skincare loving friend or family member I promise!

Wild Deodorant
Wild Deodorant is probably one of the best sustainable swaps I have ever made, I honestly could do a whole blog post dedicated to it! Refillable natural deodorants with the most gorgeous scents to choose from, I especially love when they release seasonal scents - my current favourite is Toffee Apple from their October launch. I have convinced so many people in my life to make the switch and they all adore Wild like I do. You basically buy your case and then refills of deodorant that slot into your case. The refill cases themselves are compostable or recyclable which means no plastic waste whatsoever! I think a Wild starter pack, or some refills if your loved one is already a Wild fan, would make a lovely eco gift.

WUKA Period Pants
Period pants are another swap that I could and probably will write an entire blog post on. They have absolutely changed my life and I will literally tell everyone I know about them at any given opportunity - it’s just the kind of person I am. I know your probably thinking period pants is perhaps an odd Christmas gift, but they aren’t something that someone would maybe buy for themselves, and for instance with me I would love a few more pairs so I am covered for my entire period week but currently have 3-4 pairs. Wuka have such a fantastic range and I can say with experience they are comfortable, leak proof and I really truly wouldn’t be without them!

Heathcote & Ivory
Heathcote & Ivory really excel when it comes to luxury, I mean imagine waking up to any of these under your Christmas tree?! They are a London based brand that have a real love for creating beautiful products using wonderful ingredients. The brand is so quintessentially British and for me just gives me that warm festive feeling. I have to admit I actually am keeping both the hot water bottle and the gorgeous giraffe tin that contains a hand cream, I couldn’t part ways with them! The other gorgeous box is the bed and bath time kit which contains bath salts, hand and body cream and a pillow mist, all infused with a mix of essential oils and scented with green leaves, sandalwood and patchouli. The items included are part of the ‘Wild Wonder & Joy’ range, I would highly recommend exploring their website, the Christmas range really is stunning.

FFS Beauty
FFS Beauty are a beauty brand that believe in creating easy to use products whilst always having sustainability and the environment at the heart of everything they do. I have previously used one of their razors, FFS encourage you to send your used razor heads back to them to recycle - genius! I was so excited to try their tan, the formula is vegan and cruelty free, no biscuit smell whatsoever and all packaging is recyclable. I have used this several times now, once for 8+ hrs and more recently just a little 4 hours in the morning and both times I have absolutely loved my tan. The photo on the right (poor quality apologies) shows it after a few days, it’s just so natural, buildable and has definitely become my go-to tan. The tanning sets they do are unreal, the mitt is so good at evenly distributing the product and the brush is a game changer for hands and feet. Now I have to give a special shout out to the back tanning applicator because it has changed my life! No longer does my lovely partner Fred have to try and squeeze his hand into a mitt, I can do it by myself - run don’t walk fellow tanners, FFS tan is the one!

EcoVibe
So the best way to describe EcoVibe is a big old online supermarket, with all eco products, organised into categories to make eco shopping literally simple. It is an eco heaven, the perfect place to get bits for an eco hamper, top up on your favourite products and also discover new eco items to add into your life (you’d be very merry if you drank every time I have written eco so far!) EcoVibe very kindly sent me a selection of their products and it actually made the perfect eco hamper - which I have been enjoying, for review purposes of course….
Fred’s brother and our sister in law made us the most beautiful hamper last year and honestly it was one of our favourite gifts ever. Hampers are so thoughtful, can be waste free and you can really personalise them to be perfect for the recipient of said hamper. EcoVibe is a website I will be using all year round but I think it is quite literally the perfect one stop shop for eco Christmas gifts.

Until Dawn Shop
Last but definitely not least, we have Until Dawn Shop, a brand I have adored for years and also one based in Cornwall, which we love to see! A beautiful mix of vintage, jewellery, upcyled clothing and shoes, beautiful headwear (the headbands and berets are divine) and also some lovely lifestyle bits. The whole Until Dawn Shop ethos is one to be admired, Hannah, the brains and creator behind the brand creates the most gorgeous, unique pieces and I love to wear them! The most perfect place to shop for a gift for someone who is eco-conscious but also has a love for unique beautiful items.
