Hidden Gems - The Copper Spoon

I am constantly on the look out for new places to eat in Cornwall, although I am a massive creature of habit when it comes to my favourites, and The Copper Spoon in Marazion has become a firm favourite. Nestled in the middle of Marazion, somewhere before visiting I’ve probably driven past over a hundred times, it wasn’t until I saw someone post about their delicious pancakes on Instagram that I went and tried it for myself.

The Copper Spoon have the most perfect mix of sweet and savoury options (seriously, follow them on instagram, their posts make me hungry on a daily basis) and absolutely perfect for vegetarians/vegans. I can vouch for both options and I can promise you will not be disappointed.

We were at a loss for where to go this weekend, wanting to stay closer to home because of the horrendous weather so we decided to pop to Copper Spoon for some lunch. I had the tomato and basil soup, and Fred went for the chocolate brownie. Fred has had many a brownie in his time, and he said it was the best brownie he has ever had in his life, and as he kindly left me a bit to try - I can also confirm it is the best brownie ever - I mean look at it.

If you are like me, and start planning your weekend brunch as soon as the weekend is over (I don’t know what that says about me) - I would highly recommend you visit The Copper Spoon. Not only is the food and drink incredible, it has the most calm and friendly atmosphere which is a credit to the staff and the cosy decor. I wanted my first hidden gem post to be this place because it has fast become one of my favourites and deserves all the credit it gets.

What’s your favourite hidden gem that you just know when you visit you’re going to have the best food?
