Reusable Cotton Pads

As someone that is beauty obsessed, I am also incredibly aware of how wasteful and harmful beauty products can be for the planet. Again, I’m not perfect and I will always purchase my beauty faves but where I can, I want to find alternatives that are better for the planet that work just as well.

I use cotton pads for removing eye makeup, applying my acid exfoliator and also removing my gel nail varnish, and I go through a lot of them. When Gemma Tomlinson posted about reusable bamboo pads (link to her instagram here, she is amazing) I ordered them straight away.

They arrived in cardboard packaging (winner!) and with a little wash bag to wash them in without losing them all amongst your washing.

I have been using them for the past month for removing eye makeup and applying my acids and honestly they are absolutely brilliant. I only need one of these pads to do both eyes whereas I was using 2 per eye with cotton pads. They wash perfectly and come out good as new! I wait till all 16 have been used and put them in the wash in the bag and lay them out to dry over night. My next challenge is gel nails, although I'm considering purchasing another pack just as I imagine they’ll get quite stained!
